  • Life undergoing change

Grant starts the story as a psychiatrist who is happily married with a fifteen year old son. How does he miss the son's depression leading to his suicide? How can he accept his wife's rejection of him after the death? How can he continue treating his patient's when he now feels that he is a fraud? It was an interesting story of a life undergoing change.

  • great start to a series

This is my first time reading this author. I like the great descriptive writing that really brought the book to life. This is a great start to a series and lays the groundwork to Grant Garrick and his world. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

  • Blindsided

Bit disappointed that it was only a taster of the series that follows. Enjoyed the introduction seems like interesting character that can be developed over time. Written in first person which I personally find draws you into the story especially with detective style novels. Marlowe sets precedent look forward to reading more
