  • Blood Lines

Kim Stone is back on top form in the fifth book in what has to be one of the best series ever written! Along side Bryant, her faithful Detective Inspector and friend, we also welcome back the rest of the team we've come to know and love. Also back is Kim's nemesis Dr Alex Thorne, as controlling as ever, albeit being behind bars, but unfortunately this isn't enough to stop her mind games with Kim who she has developed an almost admiring crush on and it immediately becomes clear she hasn't finished trying to mess with Kim's mind. Kim and her team are as marvellous and clever as ever and it really is absolutely beautifully crafted. Difficult to review without spoilers so it's short and sweet from me, but what I should say is don't try to read this while in the middle of moving house or you'll end up with your Kindle in one hand, while sitting on the bed surrounded by a mountain of clothes you're meant to be putting away! If Angela Marsons ever reads this, I just hope she realises she's created a marvel in Kim, although she may one day regret that because I think there would be riots should there be an end to this series because I think I speak for everyone when I say we've all fallen in love with her books. This is shown by Blood Lines shooting to the top of the pre order charts within hours of being released. Definitely a number one and certainly well deserved.

  • Series just keeps getting better and better!

I finished this book with tears in my eyes. Not only does Angela Marsons write a kick ass police procedural, she tugs on your heartstrings while doing it. This is probably one of the only series that I have read where I have given EVERY SINGLE BOOK 5 stars. I can only presume that the next will be good, in fact it's almost a guarantee. In this novel, Kim becomes involved with an old nemesis, Alex Thorne. Alex is a psychopath, the true definition of the word and she wants Kim to break into a million pieces. The scary thing is, Alex knows which buttons to push to make this happen. At the same time, Kim and her team are investigating a series of murders. I love Kim and her team, thoroughly enjoyed reading about the investigation. Once again, I was completely surprised at the end when the killer is eventually revealed. I really didn't want this book to end. I'll have to wait for the next in the series, hopefully not too long...

  • Angela Marsons is my new favorite author

I love these characters. I cannot wait for the next book. Kim Stone, Bryant, Dawson and Stac make me laugh out loud, make my heart ache and honestly the stories are so well written you feel like you are there. Completely worth the cost and time and you will find yourself on the edge of your seat and cheering Kim and team on. Must read.

I couldn't put this book down, having read the other four in the series I knew it would be great and it was. So good to see women in the main characters. Brilliant.
