  • Good continuation

Since I just read this series the third time in preparation for the final volume here is my feedback on the third volume. We meet the lycan leader and Leilas sister from volume two. From this volume one you will be quite lost without having read the prior books. Other than with the two vampires from the first two volumes the lycans are a group, which act closely together. Jask is the leader and after a bad period years ago a very controlled person. The lycans are under pressure to get herbs, which they need to manage the change at the full moon. To get the last stash of an ingredient from the witches Jask needs a serryn, which is on the top of the witch hierarchy. So he takes up with Sophie, to whom the serryn ability has jumped to. Sophie is a very impulsive person, which will be further increased by the curse of the serrynity. So Jask tries to get the ticking bomb named Sophia to help him, while she starts out in this story as a member of a third species hate group. During this book we will get a better feel for what it means to by a serryn. I personally didn't connect so well to Sophies reckless impulsiveness although I can see, where she comes from. She will play a major part in the continuation of the whole story. Jask other than Kane Malloy or Caleb Dehain is a more caring character, taking on the responsibility for his whole pack. So instead of the close proximity of few characters in a close space and a dark dynamic here we have a more open scenery. Also we get more information about the motivation behind this system of separated locales and the plans of the system leaders.

    Thanks for your feedback!
