  • Break on through

What a terrific love story. I am a huge christie ridgway fan and she doesn't disappoint in book 3 of this wondeful series. The characters are well defined, very human and appealing. can't wait to meet the next ones

  • Reed’s story is worth the read!

I bought this book in the bundle of 1-3 of the Rock Royalty series. This book is the third in the Rock Royalty series and I enjoyed it just as much as the first 2, if not more. I enjoyed watching Reed coming out from being a reclusive writer with vampire hours to a caring, loving person who starts getting involved in Cleo and her two kids. I was worried that his ‘coming out of the dark’ would affect his writing but I was glad to see the twist that was suggested to him – that boys love things that go bump in the night!

  • Darkness lends to bright ....

Ms. Ridgway took an interesting approach with Break On Through. Reed and Cleo are different as night and day. Reed is a pessimist who has shut himself off from the outside world after a tragedy. He lives vicariously through the stories he writes not letting in the opportunity for more pain. Cleo has endured her own share of hard knocks. A single mother seeking a chance to start fresh and create a better environment for her children, she plays the hand life dealt her with optimism. I found it funny that she managed to weaken the walls of Reed's heart but her children were who broke right through it. Along the way each learns that in order to find the bright side you have to face the dark alleys.
