    Going strong

Book 4 in the series and still a winner. Ben Aaronovitch is one of the best urban fantasy writers today. With interesting plots, humour, murder, mystery and some of the most likeable characters in modern fantasy the Rivers of London series is a winner.

    Outstanding

Great as always. Stunned by the ending. Can't wait for the next one.

    Steadily better

Been Aaronovitch gets better with each book, this one being the best to date. If all goes to plan I'll need six stars for his next book...

    Ok, but waffles

I generally enjoy this series, but I just couldn’t sink into this one enough to enjoy it. The narrator sometimes breaks the rhythm to explore a tangent, and with so many names floating through it can be a difficult story to follow. Especially when knowledge is inferred and I honestly can’t remember how I should remember the information or what previous book it’s linked to.
