  • The power of the mind

Wow, another great couple gets introduced to the Kiss and another book that is full of twists, turns and surprises. Tucker was a different type of vampire, he was so quite. He was not at all like, Colin, Dominic or Aaron. Those three just radiate dominance and power. Tucker was a wounded soul with a big heart who put others before himself. Sam was quite different then the other mates, for one she is human with something extra. Sam's strength was achieved through suffering making her a force to be reckoned with. With each new addition to this series, Ms. Barton keeps us on our toes. I never quite know what to expect only that it is going to be good. Both Tucker and Sam push each other away as they are each playing a dangerous game, however when the Kiss gets together to help they might as well give up and accept fate will not be denied. Again the reader is given lots of information in this story, bringing some things to a close and opening up a new can of worms. I love how strong the women are and how their strengths complement the male counterparts. Past and supporting characters keep the stories tied together and some new interesting things get mentioned in passing. I love this series and look forward to seeing what comes next. I volunteered to read this story for my honest opinion.

  • The Baker and the Vampire

Sam Hunter spends her days as the owner of Sam's Baked Goods and bakes. But when a call comes in, usually at night she helps women, children, and men out of abusive situations. When a husband comes looking for Sam Hunter to confront him about taking his wife, he's angry that a woman is trying to convince him that she is the Sam Hunter and won't tell him where to find his wife. When Tucker first sees the woman laying on the bed he knows who she is to him. But he can't risk mating her because his maker has a hold over him and won't release him. Will Sam be able to help free Tucker so these two can be together?
