    Thanks for your feedback!

Memorable. I often think back of this book longing

The story is told by the main character himself, Stefan Advani, and throughout the book you get to know him as if he's one of your best friends. He lives at the end of humanity's time on earth and ends up in the only prison left on earth where nobody ever comes back from. The first half of the book reads fluently but I wouldn't consider it a pager-turner. I kept reading because I liked the unique setting and the world that the author envisioned. Every chapter you learn new and interesting things about our world thousands or even million years in future. What happened to the sea, the jungles, the deserts, the undergrounds. How is humanity coping and what troubles them in the future? How has nature evolved and survived humanity? To be fair, there were some really interesting views from a fantasy and futuristic point of view. When you're finally familiar with the world and the setting, you are attached to the characters and their stories. What's the story of this mysterious and psychopathic Gaki? Why is Stefan in prison? Who is the governor of the island? What are Macathars? What happened to the rest of the world?? Some questions are answered, others leave room for interpretation. I loved this book and ever since I finished it 2 days ago I feel like I'm missing it. I want the story to continue. 5/5 great setting, great characters
