Call The Midwfe is a truely wonderful book! I love the tv programe and think the book would live up to it but I was wrong! I couldnt put the book down! I found it better than the tv drama! I was excited, scaryed, moved and eucataed. I already lve London but i want to go back and study the history and visit the places in the book. A truely fab read!

  • Call The Midewife

In equal measure enjoyable but frustratingly brief in that you were left wanting more detail, more fleshing out of the people.

  • Brilliant and enlightening book

What a fantastic book and story, a must for anyone interested in the history and insights into midwifery and nursing in the 1950's. Written in such an easy going style, Jennifer Worth draws you in and really makes you feel as if you know all of the wonderful colourful characters in her book personally. We definately require more books of this ilk and refreshing style. Bravo.

    Thanks for your feedback!
