  • Carthage

An excellent end to an excellent series. Darman does a great job of creating a believable character involved in historical events

  • The Battle of Carrhae

Excellent retelling of the famous battle but told opposite side to the Roans. A very refreshing nonRoman account, good and well paced read.

Perfect ending to a series of perfect books. I have enjoyed these series immensely and would suggest everyone to read them.

  • BORING

Just a copy of the first 2 almost. To much unless information that had already been read in the first 2.

  • Final review

This is the best of the series. Even though the author takes significant liberties with historical facts, primarily concerning Parthian historical characters such as Surena, the story is much better written and gripping. The character development is more mature and the triumphs and tragedies more moving. Well worth the read.
