  • Cause to Dread

At the start of this series, we find out that Avery's father shot her mother and then himself. Avery was a young child and was put into the foster system. This book describes Avery receiving her father's gun from her mother when her father died. It also states she was in the police force for almost 2 decades but at the start of the series she had been a defence attorney for a number of years. Too bad the author was in such a rush to get another book out that she wrote such blatant inconsistencies

  • Never fails

Another first rate Avery Black book - never disappoints (except the beginning and subsequent references that had me squirming)! Can't wait for next one

  • Not bad but...

Not bad but too many inconsistencies, as if the author didnt' remember the way he finished the previous book.
