  • Cedar Valley

A most irritating book with lots of unnecessary padding to fill the pages.

  • Brilliant

Best book I have read for a while, never boring and kept me entertained from the first page to the last. Loved the story, the characters and the rural Australian setting. The author has such a simple, uncomplicated way of writing but still manages to convey all the emotion and mystery in the story so that you feel part of it. I loved the use of the Australian language and the humour, the book never became heavy or bogged down. My only disappointment is the ending, I thought it a bit abrupt and also felt a couple of things were left unanswered, but maybe they were left to the readers imagination? I would recommend this if you like a bit of mystery and interesting characters. Will definitely be reading Goodwood, the first book by this author.

  • Cedar Valley

A very intriguing story. The setting is a quiet Australian town with lots fasinating local characters. A mysterious incident has the whole town involved. Hard to put down.

  • Cedar Valley

This book was about an incident at Cedar Valley which was not far from Goodwood which was Holly Throsby's previous book. It is one of those stories that I just couldn't put down. And I come from Adelaide so I understood and knew something about the Somerton man that is mentioned in the story.

  • Liked the story

Liked the story. It was different and kept me wondering. The characters seemed realistic and mostly likeable. I didn't feel as if the story was unfinished; it just wasn't tied up in a predictable bow. Left me thinking.
