  • Pulled at my heart strings

This book really pulled at my heart strings. A single Mom struggling with nothing going right. When things are finally looking good, more trouble. I did have a few tears, happy and sad. I had trouble putting this book down. This was the first book of this author that I read and I would recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. I will be on the lookout for more books by Kellie Coates Gilbert when I want some light reading!

  • bland, slow story

this reminds me of a movie I saw a few years ago, with Sally Field as the young heroine. Very bland story. I like a bit more heat in my love stories. A single Mom struggling with nothing going right and she moves from Texas to Oregon for a better life. Only the fishing boat she has inherited is not in the best of shape and the opposition is the Mayor's son . This story did nothing for me, but that is my opinion, I'm sure there are other readers who love this kind of genre.
