  • Childhood Lost

I have just finished reading this powerful and emotional true story, the Welfare system failed these two young girls and there mum and step dad, I hope one day justice will prevail and those barbaric monsters will get what is right...... A long time behind bars and a taste of their own medicine, and I hope the old bag"hitler" rots in hell, but most of all I hope those two little girls, have a happy and loving life now they are free from torment.

Found it very difficult to get interested in the story. It is a very sad story of two small girls and what they had to endure as they grew up.

  • Good story. Atrocious writing.

If I had to guess, I would say that this book never saw an editor or was proofread once before it was published. I painfully slogged through a third of this book, and I can't read anymore. The story is good but the writing is atrocious. Constant misuse of words or completely incorrect use of well known expressions that made some sentences impossible to make sense of. I feel as if the author is completely against using appropriate punctuation within sentences to separate one thought from the next and thus writes entire paragraphs that are virtually indecipherable.

A very compelling story. It is sad that the legal system failed these two girls it probably failed alot more children in that time period. Heaven knows how many children they fail even in this day and age. My heart goes out to each one of you.
