  • Disturbing

I recommend the book, but also recommend that you don't start it on your morning commute to work because it's more than a tad depressing, and could really put a crimp in your day. This is a disturbing accounting of the fate of children following an apocalyptic scale nuclear event. There aren't many laughs to be has, but it should be on your reading list if you are a big fan of post-apocalyptic sci-fi.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • An extremely well written story, harrowing and emotional in parts. Thoroughly involves the reader in the terrifying experience of a nuclear attack and its aftermath, not through the active involvement in war, but as a family unit simply dealing with its effects, and fighting to survive. A great book for teenagers.
