    Children of the tide

A Really enjoyable read and i would recommend it. Characters were very believable and it brought to life the hardships people faced in that era.

    Fantastic!

This book is the third in the series and unfortunately I read the second book "Annie" first but nevertheless, each book is wonderful on their own and having made that error, I still absolutely loved each of them. Ms. Wood has the most amazing way of bringing the characters to life so that you will either love them or hate them. As a huge fan of Catherine Cookson, I can see why the first book in this series won the "Catherine Cookson" award, the subject matter and writing style are very much like Ms Cookson. A story about a time when the class system was a cruel, unfair truth and those who rose above it from both sides.
