  • A revealing insight beyond the 1940 - 1945 period

The literature on Churchill is well-worn. What Jacob Bannister's concise book does, and does well, is look at the latter stages of World War II, and the period after the war. For readers looking beyond the obvious into thoughts and deliberations of Churchill's life, one that will never cease to intrigue 20th century students of the century's defining conflict, Bannister's book covers the basics, but includes insights into the post-1945 period until the end of Churchill's life.
