  • Plodding and contrived

Let Hercule rest with Agatha. She was magic with a light and devilish touch

  • 1st was better

Monogram murders in my opinion is the better book. This one became a little dull towards the end with no big twist.

  • Very enjoyable!

This was an amazing recreation of an Agatha Christie novel. Poirot felt exactly the same to me. I hope there are more!

  • Would not buy another.

Did not grab my attention. Enjoyed the characters, but overlong story. Would recommend this to someone who has not read Agathe Christie.

  • Clever plot, disappointing Poirot

Took me a while to get into this. I persisted because the title intruiged me and I was sure Poirot would come to life - he never did for me. The mystery and its denoument were clever. However, it didn't ring true as a Poirot story. Difficult to say why, but Poirot was a bit two dimentional somehow. A copy rather than the original - that spoilt it for me.
