  • Excellent story telling

More high-paced action with nothing getting in the way of a good tale. This trilogy was an unexpected treat. It won't fulfil any needs for brooding, introspective character studies but is definitely worth the read for some good ideas and unputdownable action.

  • Clouds of Venus - a review

How many stars? Three. Why just three? Well, this book was engaging enough to keep me interested to the end, and there some excellent science fiction ideas introduced and explored. The actual storytelling - both in the narratve and the vernacular - struck me as underdeveloped. Dare I say, immature. The whole story gave the feeling of having been written by someone with a very United Stated of America only view of the world in addition to equally limited life experiences. I dont know how old Mr Tanyard is, and I dont intend to be ageist, but I look forward to further works from him when he is able to write from a wider and more (life) experienced perspective. Great potential, but I dont think we've seen his best yet.

  • Light reading

Clean. Follow Dean the main character as he truly becomes an adult & saves the world 1 bumbling step at a time.

  • Space wars

Mankind has not changed, just the places and weapons. The who, why, what and the enemy are the same as all battles.
