  • Carrie at her Best..

Codename: Makarov is definitely an action-packed read with enough suspense to keep you intrigued. I enjoyed this book and look forward to Carrie’s next adventure. Another great book from Ethan Jones, you get drawn into the story very quickly and it’s hard to put the book down. I love reading a female character that kicks butt.

  • Edge of your seat reading

Finding out the answers when there are so many hidden agendas is never easy but Carrie O'Connor is not one to wait around for something to happen. She is always right in the midst of the action. I like her strong character as a CIS agent but I also like seeing as more than just a agent. She is a woman who wants to do want is right for her family and her country. Unfortunately her family usually gets little from her and she feels the loneliness and disappointment in herself as a sister and a daughter. Sometimes she wishes she wasn't alone without a life partner but she is doing all she can for Canada. She is a real life hero in fiction with imperfections but that doesn't stop her from going after terrorist that are after targets she has sworn to protect. (less)

  • Code name

Enjoyed the read; you could envisage this action, and there were bits and pieces that lead you to believe that the traitor was inside CIS

  • Codename Makarov:a review

Female super-spy, Canadian Intelligence Service (CIS) agent supreme, Carrie O'Connor is smart, sassy - and ice-cold when on a mission. Under cover in global terrorist-ridden territories, she homes in like a heat-seeking missile on wrongdoers and will stop at nothing - including using tactical support from unexpected sources - to satisfy justice and bring those who murdered her father in KGB-ruled Russia, to her own kind of justice. While under orders to bring in her ex-lover and confirmed 'rogue' agent Justin Hall, Carrie must decide whether it is safe &/or practical to let her heart rule her head, by giving the supposed CIS traitor a chance to be re-evaluated and explain himself to her...or to turn him in as ordered, to face possible elimination, if she demurs to obey and do what's expected from her by her superiors. What will Carrie decide to do? What will happen as a result? Is an 'HEA' possible for all concerned? Ethan Jones is definitely the Master of the Secret Agent Thriller, with his burgeoning pantheon of CIS Agents, Justin Hall, Javid Pierce and now, the latest illustrious addition to the dynamic of the world of international espionage, Carrie O'Connor, who ramps up the tension and excitement exponentially, in Codename Makarov, Book 2 in the Carrie Chronicles, by the amazing Ethan Jones. Why not get Book 1, Priority Target, at the same time, to double your reading pleasure? Both are well-worthy of 5-star ratings and a place on your spy-thriller bookshelf!
