It will help and open your eyes on so many different levels. A must read, over and over. The best part is the activities at the end of each chapter.

Great book. Haven't been able to stop thinking about it, how I view my life and existing world. Thank you!

Eye opener. Very well written. Scared me while I was reading..had to break in between to think about my life.

    too relegious

I don't believe in god and it bothers me a lot that a lot of the recovery seems to depend on belief and higher power. Tried skipping those parts, but there were too many so I stopped reading after 12 chapters. I wish I'd known before I bought the book. Religion is a persponal and seperate matter and shouldn't be involved in psychological issues. If it helps people to believe, good for them. But it shouldn't be a necessity for recovery. So far, I've made great progress in mine without it and I don't appreciate it when it is assumed that the healthy superego I'm growing to oppose the echo of old child abuse is something mistical with devine plans for me. It is biological and functional. No need to make it supernatural.
