  • 3 Hitmen & A Baby - Thrilling Romantic Comedy

What a fun read. I wasn't sure when the main characters of this series were assassins, if it might be dark. It wasn't. Great romantic suspense. Noel Cavanaugh is a burned out government sponsored contract killer. He's a good guy who's had a hard life as an orphan at a very young age and was recruited at 14 while on the streets. He's ready to get out of the life now at age 30. The book starts when he's finished a job and is carefully making his way back home to his secret retreat on Bainbridge Island WA. He's met at his door by his next door neighbor, 4th grade teacher Adeline Rose, on her way to help her best friend Solene do some cleaning at Solene's daycare. In her arms is a 4 month old baby boy that was dumped off on his doorstep by his "mother" naming Noel as the father. SURPRISE! Now he's got to figure out who the Dad is because it's NOT him and get on with his recharge time. He calls the 2 likely other suspects, Deacon "Shadow" Shaw and Hammer the "Destroyer" to help take care of their potential son while DNA tests are run. So sets up the delightful romantic comedy suspense thriller story. I loved the attraction between Noel and Addy. Marie does a fabulous job with the chemistry between the bewildered triggerman blindsided by love and the independent but lonely school teacher. Watching the future romance between Solene and Deacon brew is great fun since they are oil and water. I also suspect Hammer will be brought down by the very competent nurse Violet who's somehow connected to the business. ~A copy of this story was provided for an honest and voluntary review.

  • Fast-paced Romantic Suspense

CONTRACT SIGNED, by Marie Harte is the first book in the Triggerman Inc. series. A fun, fast, ultra-sexy read.I especially loved that it takes place on Bainbridge island, Washington. Elementary school teacher Adeline (Addy) Rose lives next door to the mysterious Noel Cavanaugh, a (secret) trained assassin. She's been infatuated with Noel for the two years he's lived next door to her. Addy delivers a package to Noel that was mistakenly left at her house-and it's a baby! Noel is stunned to discover the child is supposedly his. This story is fun. It has engaging secondary characters—Solene, the ex-model turned nursery school teacher and Addy's best friend, and Noel's friends and fellow assassins, Hammer and Deacon. The suspense is threaded artfully throughout the book that kept me turning pages with plenty of hot, steamy moments between the sheets. CONTRACT SIGNED is a page-turning suspense that I loved from beginning to end.
