    Was an awesome read

A definite page turner. Recommend for anyone who loves to read about the supernatural. Yasmine has delivered yet another good read. If you haven't read the other books she's written then you are missing out!

Definitely Worth the Read - Ending A Bit Anti-clim

This entire series is a page-turner. It's not absolutely necessary but I recommend starting from the beginning of the series with Witchling. You can really see how the characters evolve and grow. This one is narrated by Menolly. The ending felt abrupt, almost as if the author was on a deadline and just had to "get 'er done". It qualified as anti-climactic. I liked that Menolly was becoming more self aware and realizing a few things that were not apparent to her before. Through conversations a little more was revealed about Trillian, a nice bonus. In general the characters have their secrets and things they hold back or don't want to examine within themselves. Reading the series as a whole makes this more evident. There are some explicit sex scenes but they don't go on forever and the sex isn't the main point of the story. Shimmer is introduced in this book and she has a starring role in another series. There's another character, a Blackforest Woodland Fae named Tanne, that is quite intriguing. I hope to see him in future books. Then there is the mysterious Daniel and his sister, two surprise characters. I'll let you read and find out who they are. Yasmine Galenorn has a gift for providing enough detail so we can get a picture of the people and places without taking four pages to describe an empty parking lot (I'm talking to you Tolkien). Thete is no problem transporting myself into the sisters' world, a journey that is appreciated. I recommend this book, despite my feeling about the ending.

Not all that happy with this book

I had a hard time reading this one. I don't know if the series is just to drawn out or if it was the book itself but I felt this one was very boring. And the fight scene at the end was just lame. Not the best book by far.
