  • Wonderous allegory of our times

Is it mexico, spain, syria or everwhere the poor and disenfranchised seek to be safe and bring up their children in peace. A novel of incredible events with a ring of truth. I was not sure I would keep reading at first. A story about the great unwashed and downtrodden had nothing to do with me. But I continued, the flawed characters speaking to me, making me realise this is the story of everyone at the mercy of bad government, big business and corruption. Told with heart and excellent writing skills, a modern fable leaving me wondering if miricles can save us too.
