    Great book

Well written, addictive, great read. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. I only wish there was more.

Highly enjoyable end to the series.

The conclusion to the war brewing since the first book. You’ll have to have read all of the previous books for this one to make any sense. I’m glad that the book focused more on Donia – she’s been my favourite character from the start. I enjoyed the battle scenes and how grief was described in this book. Keenan finally did something – several somethings – to make me like him. I liked the inclusion of Ankou and the Dark Man (though actually one being in folklore it was interesting seeing the role of Death as two entities). Well-written and highly enjoyable. And that’s all I can say without any spoilers ;-)

A tense climax to the series

The tensions in this book is extremely high as everyone is preparing for war. The brokenness of the Dark Court is evident through the chaos and insanity of Niall. The reader is encouraged to feel sympathy for Niall as his grief is overwhelming him, however, the reader also feels wary of Niall as his actions are unpredictable as his grief threatens to destroy him. Tension and emotions are clear throughout the book, especially as the war draws near. Keenan earns the respect of the reader, as he makes sacrifices that change his whole life. Overall, this book is extremely well written, with the reader struggling to put it down during moments of high tension and emotion. A fantastic way to close off the series, with many twists and turns.
