  • Awesome series. Great 3rd Book

Best book of the series so far. Ms. Lowe just keeps getting better with each book, and she was good right from the start. In “Daughter of Blood”, readers finally get a good idea of how it all got started. Loose ends from the first book are tidied up. The reader finally gets to see some of the members of the other houses of the Derai, which I think is really good. Contains an even balance of military action, magic, politics, character growth and plot development, with a touch of romance. The world-building is excellent. All big positives for me about this book. “The Wall of Night” is a 4-book series, with the “The Daughter of Blood” being the 3rd, out of a planned four books. You need to read these in sequence as it is one continuous story. If you liked the first 2 books, the 3rd is well-worth getting, a real page turner with quite a few surprises in it. It read more like Kalan’s story, although I think Malian and Kalan did get equal time in the book, along with Myrathis, the Daughter of Blood (NOT that I counted the number of chapters where they were the point of view character). It finishes on a cliff-hanger and I can barely wait for the 4th book to see how it all comes together. “The Wall of Night” has proven to be a very impressive series so far. I started reading this series when it first came out and it has been well worth the wait between books to see how the rest of the story develops.

    Thanks for your feedback!
