  • Another thrilling Cato and Macro adventure

The book started with Cato and Macro have returned to Rome just after Emperor Claudius had died and the supporters of Nero and Britannicus were vying for power. Simon Scarrow does an excellent job of describing the feverish and dangerous atmosphere in the capital where hardly anyone can be trusted and all is not as it seems. Needless to say, no matter how much Cato and Macro would like to stay out of the plotting and politics, they are sucked right into it. I found it difficult to put the book down as the adventure unfolded. And from the ending it looks like there will be more adventures to come.

  • Day of th Ceasars

After 16 books Simon Scarrow manages to keep his stories fresh, exciting and vwry readable, I never want to put tem down. Day of the Ceasars concludes the adventures of Cato and Macro, or does it? I hope not....
