    Enjoyed reading something different

As always characters are important to me. I love the people and that we only get peeks of their stories as we go song. Lots of twists ans turn that kept me needing to read to see what happened next.

    Another enjoyable tale from Midnight

Once again we are treated to some more cross-over characters as Manfred becones embroiled in a suspected murder. Good fun, just the right amount of suspense, with some quiteloveable characters...roll on book 3!

Can't get enough of this 'verse

I love everything Charlaine Harris does and was so happy to discover the Midnight series. She has a real gift for creating vivid characters and I like the way she writes with so much affection about small towns in the South. It was great to see some characters from the Sookie books turn up in Midnight. My only reservation about this instalment is that all the going back and forth to Dallas got a bit tedious and the central mystery plot is quite weak.

Good take on the supernatural world of Charlaine Harris

With the ties to the Charlaine Harris vampire stories, it gives an interesting different angle with some quirky 2nd characters
