Millie carries a secret that her doctor friend weedles from her. It is a quiet tale of secrets that must be shared with the right people

  • Love letters to Millie

Sweet short story . Millie has found the love of her life, and is struck down with an illness, which is fatal in Regency times. Dermot is a surgeon, with past issues in his own life, but together they will weather the storm. Humorous and heart wrenching, I loved the Pennington series, hope there will be more coming...

  • A great short book...love vs. illness.

I just loved this book...the banter between the 2 main characters and proof that opposites can attract and get along. But the book was way, way too short....too quick an ending. I would have liked to know what it was like for Millie to go through this terrible disease at this time in history...not necessarily the gory details, but her experience. I'm sure it would make us appreciate modern medicine a whole lot more and help any women or men going through this.

    Thanks for your feedback!
