In two minds about this book

Firstly, I enjoyed the read. I found the continuing story of Darcy and Elizabeth most satisfactory. A couple of things seemed odd to me. The presence of Lydia in the story seemed deliberately low key. Why was she not called to give evidence about the quarrel between Denny and Wickam at either the committal or the trial. Perhaps an explanation could be that women did not take part in such things at that time, I can't think of any other reason.

    Death Comes to Pemberley

Surprisingly poor and plodding writing from a celebrated crime author.

    Death Comes to Pemberley

Was an alright read but for me the characters did not the originals. Whilst the references back to Pride & Prejudice were made it felt drawn out to me.

    Death comes to Pemberley

Unfortunately this novel lacks the wit and quickness character or both Darcy and more importantly Elizabeth. The only contribution Elizabeth makes is to fill a place in the nursery. If you want a novel about manners and eddiquitte, this is your novel!

    Death comes to Pemberly

Who doesn't enjoy a bit of Mr Darcy? Well down the track their lives have bloomed. I really enjoyed this years later. A great weekend dead. Of course there is some drama!
