    Defaced

It gave me the creeps at the start, I didn’t like to continue reading but I couldn’t stop and finished it inone sitting. I felt a lot of things becoming so hopeful that sunshine will come out of darkness and it did. I just want to say that the author was able to convey in so many words things that I can feel while reading. I liked it but then, if you want the read with aheavy heart at the start then, go ahead. But if you are looking for something light and fun, this is not for you.

    Erotica? No.

I thought the story was a bit trite and predictable, bordering on racist and insensitive to real gender issues. Although it attempted a Beauty and the Beast type scenario, it was really just about physical atttaction and there was little depth to the relationship (built on pity?) It Lacked conciseness and what was supposed to be foreshadowing was just repetitiveness. Overall mindless read that doesn’t have enough nuance to be called erotica. For me, there is need to read books 2 and 3; I don’t care how the characters made out!

    Dark Romance

Once again Marissa Farrar has written a dark romance which drew me in from the first page before spitting me out at the end. The characters are damaged and are drawn together because of this. Be warned this book is a little steamy at times but that just adds to the interest. If you like your romance on the dark side this is one for you.
