I wish you joy and every bit of thanks for this series. In my childhood and teen years my inner self created these types of stories and the mermaids etc. so glad I read that last letter. David is so like so many young men today. Quiet strong capable of great love and tenacity. Well done.

  • An okay read.

This one picks up exactly where the last one left off. Truth be told, it’s like this one was supposed to be the end of the last book. Even the pink on the covers match… So why this wasn’t a good read: from the first page, it’s action, action, action, death, death, death. There’s no story arc. There’s only fighting, death and destruction. Don’t get me wrong, I love fighting, death and destruction. But there’s no moment of rest, of reflection, of growth. There’s no story. Sure, Laurel finally figures out who her one true love is and what her true Mixer powers are – but that would have worked better if this book had been part of the previous one that was actually a story. A lot of what happens in this book, could have happened in the previous one. Condensed together, it would have been one spectacular book. And don’t get me started on the epilogue…! An okay read – just make sure that you read it directly after “Wild”. Star rating: Editing: 4 stars Premise: 3 stars Wonder: 4 stars Trigger warning: abduction, violence, death, murder, destruction, anarchy, war Overall: 3 stars Total = 3.5 stars
