  • entertaining and twistedly absurd

Wow, what the hell did I just read?! Nina was a pathetic little girl playing with fire in the prequel, Dirty Beginning. Here in Dirty Obsession, she's still crazy, but she's grown up a little. She still has obsessive tendencies, but she's curbed them a tad. But then she's brought back into Arlo's twisted world and all bets are off. Will she survive what he and his family have in store for her? Does he actually have feelings for her or is she the only one who was obsessed? I can't say that I ever liked Nina or Arlo, or anyone else in this story except Heath and Eden, but I will say that their story is entertaining and twistedly absurd. It's not as dark as a lot of stuff I've read, but it's not all flowers and sunshine, either. So beware, this is not really Ella Miles' usual kind of story. It's really twisted and there's lots of stuff happening in the grey and black areas of life. The ending is cliffy-ish, so I'm going to assume another installment is coming. I hope so!

  • Wow!!

A highly intense, heat-fueled storyline, between obsessive, dark souls and twisted heart pumping lines, the storyline intrigued me from the very start. Part of the intrigue for me stemmed from my constant battle with whether I liked the characters and my frustration with the events that transpired. I swear, as much as I disliked how things were happening, I was hooked- the back and forth, wicked mind games, looming darkness, spine-tingling angst, and sexual magnetism was a heady recipe of dark romance soup- I couldn't help but eat that all up! Woo! Folks- this book is dirty, dark, depraved and for the life of me, I'm all wrapped up its twisted words! If you enjoy dark and dirty, I highly suggest checking out Arlo, Nina and Matteo's world!!

  • Sometimes love is not enough!

This particular read is dark and compelling with many possible triggers. However, that being said, this author has such great skills in the use of her words drawing you in and her world building artistry actually enabling you to envision what she is writing. I was a little put off in the beginning with Nina and her personality disorder and obsessive behavior. This was nicely overcome with her emotional growth and maturity. Strong, vivid characters are employed in this powerful and engaging read. I received a copy of this book via and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  • Manipulation, devastation, desire and addiction!

Nina was a woman obsessed with Arlo, a man who was determined never to have her because having her would cause him to lose everything. But fate has a way of making fools of the best of us, that is what happened and served her up on a plate for us to devour. Arlo saved her life that night, but seven years later he still wasn't sure he had done the right thing. She was a pawn in an evil man's game, a slave for seven years, their possession, to torment, rape, abuse and destroy. This book will stay in my memory for a long time, it's dark pages a testimony to the evil men do when there is no one prepared to prevent it. This book was an like an addiction. the more I read the harder it was to put down and then I didn't even try. Manipulation, devastation, desire and addiction are words that come to mind when I think about Arlo and Nina's relationship and in the end it was still not enough. This book is part of a three book series that I am also addicted to. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
