  • The name is deceiving

By reading the title of this novel, you would think it would be about the conflict between Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton, but this story is just mentioned in passing. The real intrigue is to find who killed a young lady in the Manhattan Well. Levi Weeks is accused and will be defended by Hamilton and Burr, among others. The novel is really well written and there are a lot of historic footnotes and references. It is interesting to read, until we get to the end, that feels a little rushed.

    Thanks for your feedback!
