  • Great read.

As always, complicated and interesting plot. Stephen Booth is one of the best writers around.

  • Dying to Sin

The farm owned by the Sutton brothers has been sold and is under construction—walls are torn down, trenches are dug for new walls to be erected. In one trench, a body is found; and in another area, a second body is discovered minus its head. There is only one surviving Sutton brother and he is senile and in a respite home. Thus, Fry and Cooper begin an investigation that uncovers years of hatred, superstition, and murder; a mixture of light and dark, lies and truths. The title is a play on words considering the motives and desires of the inhabitants of the farm.
