    Honest review

I've loved this series up until this book. It felt like the wonderfully sassy and sarcastic Charley went on a holiday and in her place was a woman who no longer named her furniture and was able to keep secrets for the first time in this series, like seriously what gives with that? I missed the sarcastic voice of Charley Davidson and her endless optimism, the book was rather bleak without it! Once again I love and Hate Reyes but by the end of this book I just hated Reyes. For a book that put so much emphasis on their baby, it really did not go into any details about their daughter. I would have liked an explanation for why the baby was talking telepathically to Amber and not to Charley. Also let's all pause for a moment and consider why Charley simply didn't say just a few latin words and send Reyes to sleep again, she's done it before why not now. Besides all the obvious plot holes and out of character Charley, if you ignored all this and just admire the imagination you might be able to call it a good book. Until the ending of course which might as well have been on the same level as "and...it was all a dream"!
