    Excellent

I have seen the movie at least twice and read the book by Paul Brickhill, upon which the movie was based. It was very interesting to read Guy Gibson's story of the events leading up to the event itself as well as his previous career," direct from the horse's mouth" to quote an old saying. He was a very courageous hero who did not hesitate to share the glory with his team mates. I think we could have done without so many of the photos of American planes and personnel which had nothing to do with the actual events in the story. A great source of first-hand information for those interested in the history of WWII.

    Enemy Coast

Read the Dam Busters first. This is an excellent read.

Best WWII Book On The Air War *****

While i have read books about 617 Sqn demolishing the 3 Ruhr dams and about the designer of these bouncing bombs (Barnes-Wallis) it was wonderful to read the story from the point of view of the superbly trained and heroic airrews who carried out this mission. Guy Gibson was obviously a hero and a geat man. So were all the crews who trained for and participated in it.
