  • A great tale

Did Arthur really exist? Bernard Cornwell is a great historical writer. This is a great tale about a figure who is little more than a myth.

  • Been a longtime

Since I stayed up late reading because I couldn't put it down. A truly mesmourising retelling of a dizneyfied old legend.

  • Like Ancestral Fiction of Early Brit

Nice and steady adventure story with some truth to the victims, places and actual brutal combat in those times and ages...easy reading to Keppler you coming back to the Warlord Chronicles!

  • A gripping saga of hope and betrayal

The story is compelling. This is the 2nd book of the series and equals the realism and clearly well researched and imagined context of the time. This is Game Of Thrones but better and not for the squeamish.

  • Enemy Of God By Bernard Cornwell

As with all the others by this great writer I have thoroughly enjoyed Enemy of God. So well written and therefore holds interest from start to end. The Arthurian tales are endless and breathtaking, they hold the imagination with the beauty of the English countryside to the barbaric wars of the time. So on to book three " Excaliber".

    Thanks for your feedback!
