  • Great Political Thriller

I found this book fascinating! Who knew I'd become a fan of political thrillers but this year I've read several after reading none previously! They have never interested me before and then I read one and have since read several and liked them! As other reviewers have said, this centers on a woman named Whitney who suffers from "face blindness" and I have never heard of that condition before. I can't even imagine seeing a person and not seeing their face! As the author describes it, it's like those news photos you see where the face of a person is blurred out and you just see the rest of the body. Can you imagine going through life permanently seeing that every day with every person? I sure can't! You have to identify people in other ways. I think it would be more difficult than actually being fully blind. Whitney "witnesses" a murder but can tell the police nothing about the murderer. The murderer knows this once that person discovers her "disability" and comes after her. There are so many things that hinge on Whitney remembering things from years past as an intern on The Hill for a senator but it's been so long ago and they come to her bits and pieces at a time. Detective Leo was a favorite character of mine. He was so supportive of her, even when others grew frustrated with her! The crytocurrency angle was a little tiresome and the author could have scaled back on that but all in all, I enjoyed this book very much! Very interesting and kept me turning the pages to see how it turned out!

  • Thrilling Ride!

In this latest suspenseful novel, readers will be taken on a thrilling ride of this story. This book’s storyline has a very intriguing aspect to it. Whitney, they main character can not recognize faces (which I had never heard of). She witnesses a murder, but the killer doesn’t know that she can’t identify them. This condition that she has gave the story an interesting twist. One of the lead detectives, Leo, is Whitney’s only ally. He is interested in learning the truth in this case and is set on protecting Whitney. Since the killer seems to be continually coming after Whitney, it is up to her to discover who is after her. Together, Leo and Whitney will search for the truth. Readers must read this exciting novel to discover if they figure out who the real killer is. This book really had a lot of surprises throughout the book leading up all the way to the conclusion. If you love suspense books, then this is a book for you. The book was very intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. I highly recommend this book and know you will not be disappointed! ***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, this is my own opinion.

  • Everywhere to Hide

Everywhere to Hide is the first book by Siri Mitchell I have read and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It is a mystery first and foremost with hint of romance. Our main character, Whitney, has face blindness so although she saw the murderer, she has no way of identifying him. First she deals with local police but then it is taken over by the FBI. This was an intricate story with lots of jargon about cryptocurrency which, to be honest, I tended to skim over as I don't have degrees in economics and/or finance so it made my eyes glaze over. The mystery side of it I completely enjoyed. It was fascinating to see how her face blindness affected her life and the way she had to make adjustments to compensate for that. Leo was an absolute star and I loved him. The scene-setting was wonderful and clear, giving great descriptions of where she was and how she felt. As for the whodunnit part - well, let's just say it didn't come as a surprise because my spidey-senses were tingling. More than that, I won't say so you'll just have to read it yourself. A great mystery that I have no hesitation in recommending. * A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. * Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books!
