  • love everlasting

I really enjoyed Evie's story and it was a great addition to the series. There was so much going on as we learned about Evie's past and how it was colliding with the present. It's an emotional story in the way that it shows you no matter how much you love someone that sometimes you have to make tough decisions to look after yourself and sometimes love just isn't enough.

  • A lovely tropical island romance

Book five in Annie Seaton’s Pentecost Island series, Evie is perfect reading whether you’re hibernating in the cold of the southern Australian winter or sweltering in the northern hemisphere summer. This story transports readers to the relaxing tropical resort atmosphere that is north Queensland’s berries reef islands. Evie Asquith is a bit of a free spirit. Having inherited her grandfather’s yacht she’s spent years sailing the South Pacific stopping here and there to work. She’s been at Pentecost Island for a little while when the story opens, designing and working on the landscaping at Ma Carmichael’s Resort, which is undergoing a redevelopment. Jed Stephenson is Evie’s estranged husband. It’s clear he still loves her but that’s not the reason he’s come to Pentecost Island. The news he has brought shocks Evie to the core and sets in train a chain of events which forces these two to re-evaluate their relationship. There was lots to love about this book. Firstly I loved the support, warmth and friendship that was apparent between the women on the island. They didn’t just have Evie’s back. It was clear that they al genuinely cared about and for each other. Those who had partners clearly loved them. Throughout the story there was a sense of peace and healing and it had the effect of making me relax and feel at peace with the world too. A perfect beach or fireside read.

  • A heart wrenching story about following your dream

A great addition to this series. Evie has a story that touches the heart of many readers....do you follow your dreams or accept where you are. Her dreams caused a good deal of pain and anguish to her and her true love Jed. A family crisis as she finally finds a place in the world where she feels at home brings her past and her feelings back to front and centre. Evie's brother who has been absent from her life for years is dying and she may be the only one who can save him but that also means being with Jed again. As always, a well written story by this fabulous Author.

  • spoilers

*spoilers* This story sure started off with a bang. I loved it. It took me awhile to warm up to Jed, but I eventually did. This was a lovely second chance romance. There is a blood cancer theme that hit me really hard as less than two months ago I donated stem cells. I loved the bits and pieces of the process that were included in this book.
