  • It delves in to the unregulated genetic analytics.

Once again, a great story from Michael Connelly. Jack McEvoy is back. He is a very responsible reporter who is very adept at solving crimes and has a long time casual relationship with and ex-FBI woman, Rachel Walling, who he contacts once again. They both the solve the crime of the murder of Tina Portrero, a woman who Jack had picked him at his local bar for a one night stand a year ago. It delves in to the unregulated genetic analytics industry and the descriptions of DNA are very interesting. I loved how the murder is solved and the ending is interesting because it gives the possibility of Jack joining Rachel in her Private Detective agency.

  • Fair warni n g

Ending a bit lame and quite predictable. Somewhat over Rachel. Substance of the book quite interesting . I prefer Bosch in the 3rd person. Not a fan of 1st person writing. Bit over Boschs annoying daughter too.

  • Buy it and read it NOW!

A great story which moves at a fast pace. Characters are good, research about DNA "management" is thorough and the ending is gripping. Can't say much better than that.

  • It's O.K.

An interesting story but not up to the usual quality and intensity of a Connelly read.

  • third in the Jack McEvoy series

This is the third in the Jack McEvoy series with Jack writing for a website, Fair Warning. He is questioned in regard to the murder of a women he once knew and needs to prove his innocence. Despite being advised to leave it alone, Jack investigates, inviting danger to his door and the help of an old friend to solve the mystery. This latest episode is full of great characters and is a thrilling ride with the tension building to a crescendo. A unique Connelly thriller with a four-star must read rating.
