  • Nice story but terrible editing

This is the third book in this series and having read the first two, I was drawn into the story of the Blackenhawke family. They are lovely, gentle stories with strong women who won’t be owned by a man like as was the culture of that era. My main complaint with these books is the shocking editing and clear lack of any proof reading. The grammar is and incorrect or lack of words is so gobsmacking, I can’t understand how this passed editing. One sentence can run on for three lines without any commas. This has not stopped me reading them and I’ll probably read the next one, but you do need to be aware, that you will be editing in your own mind while reading.

    Thanks for your feedback!

  • Enjoyable..but

I keep perservering with this series because of the storylines and the characters...but dear God, the abysmal spelling, grammar and sentence structure on virtually every page, has not changed....Is there no editor or proofreader involved in the process...? The use of modern slang doesnt help the story either.... Seriously, it's doing my head in...I can honestly say that of the 1473 read books on my ereader this the most poorly finished of them all..which is such a shame because I really like the storylines and the characters..I keep thinking it will improve with the next book, it hasn't happened..

    Thanks for your feedback!
