  • Insightful and terrifying

Measured and carefully structured. In spite of this I kept wishing it were fiction. Sadly, if I read a novel that portrayed a world leader in these terms I would have dismissed it out of hand as too outlandish. The author has done a masterful job here. No invention or obvious malice but big nine inch nails all the same. "Fear"? You bet.

  • USA is an illusion

The sad thing is Trump’s base will never remove the blinkers and see their man for the fake he is. That country is lucky there are some ingenious players backstage.

  • Fear

A very interesting and worrying insight into the early months of the Trump presidency. The text seemed a little rough in parts but the insights were a revelation.

  • Great political writing - again!

I like American people and their country. The only thing I don't really get is their politics. Viewing from afar I wondered :"how did Trump become elected as President?" I am none the wiser after reading this book no matter how well-researched and well- written it is; and it is both of those things. I guess foreigners, such as myself, see the President's role as it is on the world stage. That role, in the domestic political scene, is as the saying goes "another country". Bob Woodward is a master travel guide to that country.

  • Fear? You bet.

A story filled with backstabbingly unobvious malice and hurt. A read so riviting you won't put it down. Sadly this book isn't fiction, it is the real thing. A fairly hard to read book, but my daughtet read it over the course of 2 days after her 10th birthday. Then again, she reads exceptionally well. She gave it a 10 out of 10, and I do too. Fear? You bet. Hardship? Guaranteed. A good read? Uh, duhh?
