  • Raaf guy

Bit manic. Some interesting anecdotes. Maybe he should take up sailing.

  • Review of fighter pilot

Whilst the book covers a wide range of skills necessary to actuallybecome a fighter pilot it should be remembered the for every one of them there are litterally hundreds of crew who keep them up there. The clear bias toward RAAF is understood however it needs to be understood that each arm of the defence forces has people and teams that are highly qualified and skilled in their own fields. Because a destroyer cruises at 26knots itcannot cross the distance a fighter can in anywhere near the same time. Howeer there are 200plus people on that vessel doing a job that has taken years to perfect - this should not be dismissed. Similarly the Army has many persons highly trained to do a job well. The condescending slant of this book has detractex from its good points.

    Thanks for your feedback!
