She’s the daughter of an infamous mob boss who make sure she was locked away from the world and now Kathleen O’Shaughnessy is out on her own and the target of every enemy that her father made in his very long career. It’s obvious from the very first meeting between Rick and Kathleen that they have some serious chemistry going on and that these two strong, bold characters are going delight readers with an enjoyable reading experience. Their romance starts off with sparks flying in every direction as Kathleen proceeds to tell Rick and everyone else that she’s not going to be miss meek and quiet. Delightful, chuckle inducing clashes between these two are spread throughout the story along with steamy passion and emotional turbulence and readers can’t help but feel as if they are part of their story as the Rick does his best to protect the spitfire. • Great Book

Fighting For Her by Cynthia Eden is the 5th book in the Wilde Ways series. It’s also the best one so far!! It will appeal to anyone who likes Romantic Suspense with a side of spicy sex. Kat O’ Shaughnessy is in FBI protective custody. She’s a Mob princess but she’s not safe. Rick Williams is a security agent and ex firefighter sent in to protect her. Her secrets could get them both killed. Instant attraction, snarky dialogue and intense action keep you turning pages. Cole plays a big part in this book and I hope his book is coming next. I absolutely love A new character. I can’t wait to see more of him. I can see him driving Cole crazy, He had some chemistry with Layla hopefully we’ll see where that goes. Maybe with her and Kendrick. No matter I’m ready for the next book. Please keep going!!

  • Great book! Lots of twists and turns.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. This is the fifth book in the series and is overall a great series if you want some suspense but a lot of full blown emotion. I really enjoy Cynthia's writing style; she keeps you engaged and the timeline very well organized. This book follows Rick, an agent with Wilde Security, and Kat, a mob bosses daughter. Kat is being hunted; her father was killed and she is set to testify against a lot of bad people. The FBI can't keep her safe so they enlist Wilde Securities to take over her safety. Enter Rick, an ex-fireman and now big bad agent who never gets involved personally with his cases. Unfortunately or fortunately, Kat proves to be the exception. Somehow, Kat's whereabouts keep getting compromised so Rick and Kat are constantly on the run and don't know who to trust. There are so many twists and turns and bad guys lurking around every corner. I don't want to give any spoilers but the book definitely keeps you on your toes! Kat and Rick will both surprise you. I would definitely recommend; very well written and engaging. There are so many great characters that make you look forward to the next book in the series.

  • 4.25⭐ Well written & Suspenseful

Fighting For Her is the fifth book in the Wilde Ways series and pits protection specialist Rick an established character in the series against the mob, who will do anything to stop his clients witness Kat from testifying in court in seven days time. And it was great to have Rick at the forefront of a Wilde Ways story and to finally learn more about him. And there's no doubt he met his match in Kat. Who came across as quite guileless but was far from it, and I liked how Ms Eden drip fed information about the real Kat into the story. Not to mention how she introduced new characters, including the enigmatic Ghost, who I really want to read more about. As for the story, it had action, twists, turns, and suspense. Plus, the chemistry between Kat and Rick was off the charts. Yet when they did get together, I wasn't completely convinced and I also felt like there was something else missing from this story. Which is why I didn't really devour it. But saying that I did enjoy it a lot and I couldn't figure out who the real bad guy was. Which is always a big positive and proves what a well written and tightly plotted story it was. And it's one I would happily recommend to others and I'm looking forward to seeing where this series goes next.

  • Steamy & Suspenseful

If I were to go into witness protection even for a week like Kathleen O’Shaughnessy had to in Fighting For Her by Cynthia Eden, I would want Rick Williams to be the one in charge. This story gives us a strong, take-no-prisoners Wilde Securities agent who can be counted on keeping Kat safe. In addition, Kat is not wilting heroine, she can be tough if needed also a little wild if she is in the mood. A lives-on-the-line story that has steamy romance with Ms. Eden’s signature alpha male and strong if sheltered heroine. It’s not the church that they must get to but the court room. Suspenseful, action-packed and scorching hot from beginning to end. An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
