  • Wreaked and Awe!

Wreaked! This is what state this book left me in. If you have ever read any of Amelia’s other series this one feels like best world of monsters and witches, with some unknown creatures coming in for a ride. It is beautifully written and the emotions she makes you feel is a constant roller coaster. You will shout at the main characters, cry, and want to kill them at times. She destroys the characters then picks them back up in her special way making them stronger then ever. A ride that is so worth going on!

  • I have no idea what I just read.....

I don't know how I feel about this book- the story is interesting and draws you in- cool world building and backstory, interesting secondary characters and lore....but the writing style was way too over the top. There is a warning at the beginning of the book that should be heeded- if you don't like smutty fantasy, then this is not the series to read. Honestly, there are some major triggers and the behaviour of both leads is iffy. I like epic romance fantasy with somewhat more adult themes/characters, but this was a bit of a stretch for me. I get she's trying to write the characters as super dark and twisty etc, but I found the style of language took me out of the story more than anything. As well, there was a lot sex....like a lot. Don't get me wrong, love a good smutty fantasy like anyone else, but I found that it was a bit over kill. Everything the characters did was about sex- even secondary characters couldn't have a normal conversation to propel the plot forward without somehow relating it back to how bang-able the lead was (both of them). Again, I don't really know what I've read. On one hand I'm happy it wasn't another YA fantasy with immature characters, but I'm also a little disappointed that it had to go to the opposite extreme with characters so "alpha" and dark that they're a bit cringe-worthy/trying too hard.

  • Hot and fiery

Warning - this book has a warning at the beginning which should be noted, definately adult content. That being said, I'm giving this book 4.5 stars. Anyone that has read Amelia's books before know they aren't for everyone, but those of us like her out there style wait patiently for her next book. Aria along with her sisters have returned to the Human Realm of Haven Falls to look for Aria's twin sister. They barely set foot in Haven Falls before they run into Knox who had declared himself King and ruler of Haven Falls. Aria and Knox have a hate, love relationship with lots of pull and push. It is definitely a page turner with lots of sexual content.

  • Suspenseful, dark

A story that'll take you on a wild ride. Knox and Aria were fire. Suspenseful, dark, and so much more. This one will throw you around. It's a story that'll leave you with more questions than answered. You never know what to expect from one moment to the next when it comes Aria and Knox. You'll be hooked from start to finish wanting even more of this story. Definitely recommend reading.

  • Disappointing

This book fails to be smutty and sexy hitting vulgar and disjointed far better and also fails to cover the basic points you expect from a fantasy book. So the author tried really hard to write a smutty book where we would t like the male character and I don’t only the warning at the beginning convinced me to keep reading. We did t see anything from his point of view until extremely late in the book I didn’t even know there would be different POVs… in reading this book it felt like the author was trying too hard to be vulgar rather than trying to write a cohesive scene. The first male POV chapter felt like the author wrote 2 versions of the chapter and rather than editing it they just put both of the most vulgar descriptions into the chapter it was very repetitive.
