    Loved it!

I've so enjoyed this series and this book is one of my favorites. While this book is the sixth in the series it can easily be read standalone. It returns us to the firehouse and Engine 59. It seems everyone is happy and deliriously in love. Everyone except Grant Cutter who recently had his heart shredded when his girlfriend Wren walked away from him. He was certain he had found "the one" right up until the point she left. Now a 911 call has brought Wren back into his life and Grant is determined to get the answers about what went wrong and make things right again. He just has to convince her to really let him in this time. Perfectly written story with amazing characters, a nice flow, and a storyline that will capture your heart. This is a must read. I highly recommend it.

She needed to learn to trust!

4.5 Stars This is book 6 in the Boston Fire series and it features Grant Cutter and Wren Everett. Their past is full of questions and five months later she’s back with answers. The love is strong and sizzling HOT! The sense of family is envious in this book and series. This huge family is made up of Kincaid‘s Pub, Boston firefighters and EMTs and ALL their families. When you enter this circle of friends as Wren did, you have so many people looking out for you. All she had to do was trust in Grant and their extended family. There was so much build up in regards to Ben. He played a large role in this story line and I felt such a big let down when he ended up being nothing more than a sentence towards the end. The story line was still fantastic but I just felt he needed a bigger sendoff. This is a great story to end this series. I loved Tommy’s reflection at the end.

    4 Star Flare Up

This Boston Fire novel is an emotionally gripping romance that has readers willing to fight for this couple’s future. Grant and Wren are two strong, compelling characters that readers can easily connect to therefore they become emotionally caught up in the story right from the start. Wren and Grant both have heart rending emotional turmoil that are valid and quite real so their romance is in no way a sure thing and readers can feel their pain as the couple try to overcome what happened in the past in order to fight for the present. The story flows at steady pace that keeps readers interest in what is happening in the world of the Boston Fire Unit and suspense builds as Grant tries to determine what made Wren run and why she is afraid to let him help her and the danger that Wren faces becomes a reality Wren has to face that she may have made the wrong decision in leaving Grant and his friends behind. The author writes the story is such a way that readers can easily picture each and every scene which makes the events vivid and the emotions poignant ensuring that readers become completely engrossed in this gripping romance.

    Great Action & Suspense!

Flare Up is a fabulous romantic suspense by Shannon Stacey. Ms. Stacey has delivered a well-written book and loaded it with outstanding characters. Wren disappeared after her boyfriend beat her brother until he had to be hospitalized. She felt safe enough to begin a new life and a new romance. A phone call was all it took to leave her boyfriend and go into hiding again. Grant was angry and hurt when Wren left him, but when he found her as her apartment burned he wanted answers. Wren and Grant's story is packed with drama, humor, action, sizzle, suspense and just a tiny bit of angst. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover and look forward to reading more from Shannon Stacey in the future. Flare Up is book 6 of the Boston Fire Series but it can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
