  • Enjoyable but not enough Rush

I’ve been excited for Rush to get his own book since being introduced to him in Motorcycle Man in 2012, and although I thoroughly enjoyed Free, I have to say I was disappointed with how little of the storyline was dedicated to him and Rebel. There was as much attention, and what seemed to be more development, in Beck and Janna’s story, who are supposed to be side characters. Free is such a long book and in my opinion it would’ve been better split into two, one for Rush and Rebel, the other for Beck and Janna. I’m glad I did a reread of Motorcycle Man and the whole Chaos series, as well as the More Than Everything novella from the Loose Ends anthology (which wasn’t really my cup of tea if I’m honest) in preparation for Free, because a lot happens and there was so many characters to keep track of, I think I would’ve struggled to keep up with the plot otherwise. I probably could’ve done with having read the Honey series too, particularly The Greatest Risk, to get the full effect. Getting to experience the story from so many different character’s POVs was unconventional and I really enjoyed it. And with crossovers from a number of KA’s other series (Dream Man, Rock Chick, Unfinished Hero and Honey), Free is a super fan’s dream come true. However, if you’ve not already had the pleasure of reading these first, I think this one would be a little tough to follow.

  • An end that feels like a beginning

The first time I met Tack, I wanted to hate him! And with each subsequent book I loved him harder. Each Chaos man has held a separate special place in my heart. If you haven't read them all please do! You will not be disappointed. I laughed, I cried, I cursed, and commiserate. The ride is wild, it's free, and it's best roller coaster in the theme park. So my advise get in line and enjoy the ride!

  • Loved it!

A great ending to the series. Probably not a great read if you haven't read most of the Chaos books but I loved it.

  • Perfect

Just finished Free It was perfect - seeing characters from all of the various series based in and around Denver, Colorado was a nice surprise. Overall having just finished I’m sitting here with some sad tears, some happy tears, just reflecting and wanting to go right back to the beginning and do it all over again.
