  • A Moment of Discovery, Realization and Love!

The fifth book "From This Moment" in "The McCormicks" series by Elena Aitken took my breath away! Wow, what a great story. This is by far one of my favourites along with books 1 and 4, it doesn't meant that I did not enjoy books 2 and 3. Chelsea McCormick has been a constant fixture in the first four books of the series. Either she gives advice, works through her issues, helps the brothers plan things and/or is learning more about her extended family . She has been hurt and confused but has blossomed over the summer. She has become responsible and works hard. It was hard to see that she was struggling in her own story in this book. She felt restless and that she had no ambition. There seemed to be a lot that was ailing this wonderful young woman. It was nice to see her figure out! Then Chelsea decides to add to her troubles by falling for two strong and worthy men! Scott Harding is honourable, passionate, hard working and is new to Cedar Springs as a business owner of the sandwich shop. He is enamoured by Chelsea and is the ultimate gentleman. He makes Chelsea feel safe and cherished. The other contender, Lucas Lee is dashing, handsome, edgy and knows what he wants. He is in Cedar Springs to build the condo complex and is new to town as well. He is taken by Chelsea and challenges her at every turn. Along with Chelsea's story, we also had the story of one of the couples. It was great to see the supporting cast taking sides on who was best suited for Chelsea. Maureen and Chelsea's interactions were heartwarming. The development of this story along with the back stories of the two men gave this story so much fodder. It was hard to put down. I have nothing to criticize with this story. The authoress definitely kept me on the edge of my seat with the decision. This is so worth the read. I was looking forward to it so much and it did not disappoint at all. I am eager to read Amber's story but a little saddened that her extended family might not be there... Overall, "From This Moment" was wonderful and a must READ!

  • A sweet and heartwarming story of love.

From This Moment(The McCormicks book 5) by Elena Aitken Elena Aitken never ceases to amaze me. I love her writing style. I love the emotion she puts into her stories. Her stories are always so heartwarming. In From This Moment we finally get Chelsea's story. Chelsea McCormick never intended to stay as long as she has in Cedar Springs. We get to see how Chelsea has really matured from the first book to this book. In From This Moment you get a lot of things wrapped into one book. You get heart swoon worthy moments as well as some angst, issues and a bit of drama. It's a beautifully written story about a woman discovering herself on her journey of life and love. You get to watch Chelsea as she chooses between Scott and Lucas. Elena Aitken knows how to write. I love all her books. I really enjoy small town romances and she really can write them. She has a writing style I love. I really enjoyed reading From This Moment. I cried, laughed and felt my heart swoon. There was a few unexpected twists and turns but that just made the book more enjoyable. There was nothing that I didn't enjoy about this book. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance and small town romances.

  • Great vacation read

Sweet read. This is a nice easy read, would be a great vacation book. One of those margaritas on the beach reads, under a nice large umbrella. There is a small amount of intrigue, a large amount of romance and a HEA ending. Well worth the time spent.

  • Love triangle

I've read all The McCormacks books but this can be read as a standalone although much better when you know the rest. Chelsea is adorable and has been through a lot and just struggling to find her path in life. The single one whilst all her siblings have been finding love around her. Then all of a sudden Chelsea finds herself in the midst of a love triangle with 2 very different guys.....who will win her heart? An enjoyable read along the way to see which guy steals her heart. I hope we find out more about Chelsea's journeys in the future.
