  • An excellent read

Typical Robinson. Action, excitement and quite believable Robison is the Clancy, Coonts of his era,

  • Excellent read

A truly gripping read. Scarily realistic and completely feasible. Britains successive governments have stripped our armed forces to the bone for many years. We have no realistic aircraft carriers, or if we do then nothing worthy of flying off them. They have continually axed or ‘amalgamated’ our famous regiments with hundreds of years of history and battle honours. This has undermined the camaraderie one used to feel in being a member of such regiments. I seriously wonder just when some tin pot third world dictator will attempt a plot as outlined here. Britain is incapable of supporting this type of campaign. Little known that in order to staff our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan that reserve soldiers are called up to perform 6 months of front line duty. As an ex member of Britains armed forces this story sends a chill through my veins.

  • Not his best.

A weak story line padded out with too much unnecessary technical detail. Lacks tension. Too predictable. Best parts are where Gordon Brown gets a verbal bashing and is held up as the spineless incompetent he turned out to be.
