  • Yeah, Ghost is great!!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy. Wow, I was so excited when I saw this book was about Ghost as I liked the character after the previous book in this series. Glad that Linc and Blair and Cole were thrown into the mix and got to see them and a bit of an advanced look into the next book. I loved that Tess was so down to earth and honest and there were no games with her. She and James just seemed to work together even though they were kind of opposites - she was a doctor trying to save lives and he was an assassin who took lives - granted they were evil targets. When Tess keeps getting attacked, you wonder if it was someone from James's past that is targeting her or is it someone from her past?? I won't give out any spoilers and will just say that the answer is not that simple and quite a surprise as well as who is behind it all. I was so sad when the book ended because I loved Tess and James so much and they got their HEA and the story was over. Now I have to be patient and wait for the next one to find out more about Linc and Blair and their story sounds equally exciting!!

  • Great pairing!

What a great pairing. Tess is an ER doctor who has a traumatic past that has shaped her future. She's one of my favorite kind of heroines because she was completely upfront and honest with James. That seems to be a rare find, so I love it even more when an author gives us this kind of heroine. She is a bit socially awkward but I think that added to her appeal. If you have read this author before, then you know James is the kind of hero that took one look at Tess and his focus shifted. He saw the connection and went after it. Another trait I just love to see in a main character. He also has that appeal of a darker hero who would do anything for there heroine. And he proves that. The suspense was good and leaves you guessing on who could be the real person behind things. I won't give any hints but lets just say, well done with how that came together. I like that it ended up being more.

  • A great addition to this series

We met James Smith in Fighting for her ans I was hoping we would get hi story and when we did boy was it something special James knows that he isn't a good man he has done many things that he isn't proud of but at least he did them for his country but he knows his hands will never be clean Then he meets Tess she is an ER doctor who tells it like it is She want's a no strings attached affair because she also has a dark past ad she believes no one would be able to handle she barely does. The only problem is that emotions are starting to grow between these two and they are both starting to want more When danger from the past comes back to haunt them they will need to fight for a future but the men of Wilde will be at their back

  • Bad Boy Romance

Cynthia Eden’s Ghost of a Chance is even hotter than usual as Tess and James burn up the pages of this book. Just when you think the problem of the story s going to be his past and her commitment issues, danger enters the picture. Should have seen that coming with Ghost of a Chance being part of the Wilde Ways series. Book number seven to be exact. One fast-paced steamy read from page one to the concluding one. By the end, you are so glad that both have the professions that they do. James in relentless in protecting the good doctor. Still, it is their relationship, whether it can stand the test of time that made me keep reading.

  • The assassin and the doctor

Well here we have the assassin and the doctor so not exactly a combination made in heaven because one takes lives and one saves them ! Ghost aka James who previously made such an impact in this series is trying to do things legitimately but with his past do things ever stay dead and buried ? Tess has her own secrets but maybe it's time she just dipped her toe on the wild side ? A no strings few nights with sexy James might just be the healing medicine she needs but even good girl Tess has a past and for this couple it's about to get very messy indeed ! I did like this couple and their romance is instant and smoking hot . I particularly enjoyed that Wilde securities played a huge role here and it added greatly to the overall plot and indeed leaves the door open for the next book in this series. Sadly I just wasn't convinced by James as he seemed so possessive that at times he felt perhaps too alpha. I love that in the authors paranormal stories as it works extremely well in that context but here for me it just didn't quite convince me. However the resolution to the danger that's haunting the couple was unexpected and perhaps just a little shocking. As usual this was a fun, fast paced read and it definitely has a happy ending which always makes me smile. This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
